Crafted for Durability: The bed’s sturdy frame is a result of meticulous construction using premium-grade, sustainably harvested solid Rubberwood in combination with top-notch medium density fibreboard (MDF). We’ve ensured structural integrity through reinforced joinery.
MDF’s Remarkable Properties: Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF), a widely favored engineered timber product, is created by binding wood fibers under heat and pressure. The outcome is a remarkably strong and smooth panel that remains unaffected by humidity, in contrast to the expansion and contraction issues seen with solid wood. When painted, MDF becomes an excellent material for crafting furniture or providing a solid core for a beautiful veneer finish.
Solid and Reliable: Crucial weight-bearing elements, such as the bed’s legs, are expertly fashioned from solid Rubberwood, enhancing the bed’s stability and strength.
Slat Roll Foundation: To ensure strength and durability, we utilize rolled bed slats made from engineered ply. This slat roll foundation effectively supports the mattress, eliminating the need for a separate mattress base (please note that the mattress is sold separately).
Safety and Health: Safety is a top priority at Bedtime. We use only non-toxic paint and sealers that are free of lead, phthalates, and formaldehyde in the crafting of our furniture. Our finishes are not just safe but also create a durable, low-sheen surface that is easy to clean.
Safety Guidelines: For safety reasons, we recommend that the top bunk not be used by children under 9 years old. The ladder’s adaptable placement in any corner enhances safety and convenience. To maintain safety, the mattress depth on the top bunk should not exceed 200mm. This bunk also offers compatibility with a matching Trundle, adding extra functionality.
Designed as a Unified Piece: This bed is meant to stay together and is not designed to be separated into two individual beds. Self-assembly is required, and for simplicity and safety, we suggest having two individuals involved in the process.
